After Birth
The support doesn’t end when your baby arrives.
Birth is a huge experience—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Sometimes you don’t fully process what happened until you’ve had a little time to rest, breathe, and settle in with your baby.
That’s why In His Time doesn’t simply say goodbye when your birth is over.
As part of my birth doula support, I offer a postpartum follow-up meetings so we can reconnect, talk about your birth, and check in on how you’re doing.
Let’s talk about your birth.
Whether your birth went exactly as you imagined or looked completely different than you expected, your experience matters.
During our follow-up, we’ll have space to:
- Talk through your birth experience
- Celebrate the moments that went beautifully
- Process the moments that were difficult or unexpected
- Talk about how you’re feeling emotionally
- Answer questions that may have come up after birth
- Talk about your transition into parenthood
- Discuss your breastfeeding experience and offer general encouragement
- Identify resources or additional support if you need them
- Simply sit, talk, and remember that you don’t have to have everything figured out
There is no right or wrong way to feel about your birth.
Whether you welcomed your baby in a hospital, birth center, or the comfort of your own home, your birth story is uniquely yours.
Sometimes you leave your birth feeling empowered and joyful. Sometimes you leave feeling disappointed, overwhelmed, or unsure of what happened. Sometimes you feel all of those things at once.
Whatever your experience was, there is room to talk about it.
A little extra support for the fourth trimester
While In His Time does not currently offer ongoing postpartum doula services, I believe the transition after birth deserves care and attention.
My postpartum follow-up is an opportunity to check in, debrief your birth, offer encouragement, and help connect you with appropriate resources when something falls outside my scope.
If you need specialized support—such as medical care, mental health support, or clinical lactation assistance—I can help point you toward qualified professionals who are equipped to provide it.
You don’t have to leave your birth story behind.
Your birth becomes part of your story as a mother.
Whether it was peaceful, powerful, complicated, unexpected, beautiful, difficult—or some combination of all of those things—you deserve the opportunity to talk about it.
I’ll be there to listen.
And as you step into this next season, I’ll remind you of something I hope you carried with you throughout your birth:
You prepared. You trusted. You did the work. And God held the timing.
In His Time. 🤍
