Hi, I’m Michaela, the heart behind in His time.
Through my own experiences, I came to understand just how important it is for a mother to feel supported, heard, informed, and cared for before, during, and after pregnancy and birth.
That’s why I created in His time.
The name is deeply personal to me.In His Time was born from a belief that God’s timing reaches far beyond the moment a baby enters the world.
Sometimes we’re waiting to become pregnant.
Sometimes we’re waiting for a positive test.
Sometimes we’re waiting after a loss, wondering if we’ll ever hold another baby.
Sometimes we’re waiting through pregnancy, counting down the days until we finally meet the little one we’ve prayed for.
Sometimes the due date comes and goes, and we’re still waiting.
And sometimes, after the baby arrives, we’re waiting to feel like ourselves again.
Motherhood is filled with waiting.
And some of that waiting is beautiful.
Some of it is incredibly hard.
Some of it comes with joy.
And some of it comes with grief that only another mother can truly understand. the timing of life and birth is ultimately in God’s hands.
Wherever you are in the waiting, you are not forgotten.
“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1
That verse is a beautiful reminder that there is a time for everything—including the moment we meet the little person we’ve been waiting for.
As your doula, my role is not to tell you how your birth should happen. My role is to walk beside you, listen to you, educate you, encourage you, and help you feel confident in your choices.
I offer prenatal education, birth support, postpartum support, and breastfeeding support to families throughout Genesee and surrounding counties.
My passion for supporting mothers began long before becoming a doula. As a retired Genesee County La Leche League Leader, i had the privilege of walking alongside mothers during some of the most tender and transformative seasons of their lives. That experience deepened my desire to support women not only through breastfeeding, but through the entire journey into motherhood.
Today, I continue that work as a birth doula, and I’m always looking for ways to learn, grow, and better support the families I serve. I’m currently pursuing additional education in breastfeeding, childbirth education, herbalism and aromatherapy for birth workers, and bereavement doula support.
my approach is rooted in compassion, education, faith, and the belief that every family’s journey is unique.
You don’t have to have everything figured out. You don’t have to know exactly what your birth will look like. Together, we’ll trust:
